I moved to Athens, Greece, as a student in 2023. When I was preparing for my move, I wasn’t able to find much online about what living as an expat in Greece is like. I wanted to know how to join the public library, what different areas of the city were like to live in, how other people got their visas, ease of access to English language books… and I couldn’t find anything. If I didn’t already have friends in Greece, I wouldn’t have known anything before I moved. So this blog is an attempt to fill in that gap – follow me as I discover what Athens has to offer, navigate culture and language, and just generally go about daily life in Greece.
